Motorola made a striking return to the flagship smartphone segment in 2020 with the launch of the Motorola Edge+. With its curved-edge display, powerful Snapdragon processor, and 108MP camera, the Motorola Edge+ was an ambitious attempt to reclaim a spot in the high-end smartphone market.
One of the standout features of the Motorola Edge+ was its 6.7-inch Endless Edge OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The FHD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution ensured sharp and vibrant visuals, while HDR10+ support enhanced colors and contrast, making it ideal for media consumption. The extreme curved edges not only added to its aesthetics but also provided functionality, allowing users to interact with notifications, app shortcuts, and gaming triggers.
The phone had a glass front and back with an aluminum frame, giving it a premium feel. However, it lacked an official IP rating for water resistance, which was a downside compared to competitors.
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge+ packed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.
